 I thought it was a pretty neat idea and thought I would give it a go on here.  

 

 

 

step one

Make a post (public, friends-locked, filtered... whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of ten holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV"). The important thing is to make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) can get in touch with you. Your home address is not required!

Make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, or link to this post (it'll be public) so that the holiday joy will spread.

Surf around your friends list (or friendsfriends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now, here's the important part...

If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes one person's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use - or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free - do it.

You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf - to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not - it's your call. There are no guarantees with this project, and no strings attached. Just... wish, and it might come true. Give and you might receive. You'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

 

My Christmas Wish List

 

1. Sam/Cam ship video to the song ????

 

2. A Sam/Cam fic where one of the team is lost to them, (either Daniel or Teal’c) and Cam thinks it’s his fault, Sam is hurt over the lost and spends some evenings with Cam telling him how upset she is. Cam finally gets pissy with her, they end up kissing. Cam stops it before it goes to far telling her about the regs, she says something about screwing the regs she didn’t care. Rating does not matter, a little detailed sex would be a good thing.

 

3. A Daniel vid to the song Daniel by Elton John

 

4. A Doctor Who vid With the tenth Dr. and any or all of his companions to the song Learn to Fly by the Foo Fighters.

 

5. Episodes 10 to 20 of Stargate Atlantis, where I can down load the whole episode for free and not get it cut off at 36 mins in. (been having problems with this where I use to get my episodes from.)

 

6. Here’s my biggie, I would love to have my bathroom remolded so I don’t have to take a shower in the basement anymore.

 

7. Yarn, ( I am always crocheting and can always use it)

 

8. Ben Browder, Hey I am almost done and I know outrageous but it is my wish list. At least I didn’t say wearing nothing but a bow and a smile.

 

9. A new screen for my lap top.
10. Recipe to make snickers 

EDIT: So I thought of another one today that really needs to be added to this. I am going to call it 10.5

10.5 A push, poke, or a swift kick in the rear to actually finish one of the 8 fan fictions I am writing. Three of them I have been trying to finish since June of 2006. I just procrastinate  way too much.

I can do # 3... the Daniel vid.
I have a couple... I didn't make them... and I downloaded them SO long ago that I can't remember where I got them from or who made them... so the only credit I'm doing is NOT taking credit myself :)
So, I'll upload them and send you the links!

If you had asked me about 6 or 7 months ago who I shipped in Stargate I would have said I don't do it. Then I must have hear, read, or seen something that made me think they (the writers) should have had them in some kind of ship, instead of Sam/Jack that ship just always makes me shutter. But I was thinking the other day the writers must like the older man/younger women. Don't get me started on Rodney/Keller I am sure there is a limit to how big the messages are.

ok, here's are the DL links. I actually only had one vid to the song Daniel... i used to have two but I think I remember deleting the one because it was really bad quality. The one I uploaded is kind of small but not too bad of quality.
I also uploaded a couple that aren't to the song Daniel.
ANd one... I know you're not a slasher, but you don't have to be to appreciate the comedy of it. I don't know if you've seen it or not... but it's to Stephen Lynch's (I love him!!!) song "If I were Gay" and it's McShep... but way to funny for just slashers to enjoy.

Cant wait to try these, although it will have to be next month, I blew the food budget on the stuff for the goodies I am giving to friends this year:)

Also I didnt know if you knew about any of these communities or not but I wanted to let you know so you could check them out.
