Ahhh spring time in Kansas

Just to warn ya I am on pain meds at the moment, so this ends up being rambley and all over the place.

Well this is the third night in a row we have had thunderstorms, warnings and watches all around. Of course the boyfriend is happy, he wants to go storm chase but it keeps him busy and out of my hair. Just get a little tired of the constant weather updates from him.  I am really surprised we had thunderstorms, it was barley 60 today.

 

Well I went to the doctor today, now it’s on to an orthopedic doctor in a couple of weeks. I had my knees replaced about 12 years ago and they are starting to cause problems in the last couple of months. I am hoping that they can do something besides surgery for a while. I know eventually I will have to have it done, but the longer I can put it off the better.

In the good news department, the car I looked at a couple of weeks ago, (the day before my car thought it would be fun for me to go everywhere in first gear.) Is now $400 less. Now if I can just get the money together it would be great.

On the computer front, I will NEVER buy another Western Digital hard drive. Both of them didn’t last very long. My desktop (which is 6 years old) has never given me a problem like that and guess what, it has a Seagate hard drive.

I do wish it would quit with the rain and warm up a little so I can get the garden planted, though my strawberries are doing quite well. This is the first time I have tried to grow them and I think I planted them a little late also.

On the fandom front I miss Ten, don’t get me wrong Doctor Who is ok with Eleven. Or at least it is getting better, it’s just Ten was my doctor and it still seems a little strange to watch it without him. Another thing about the show, I really don’t like the new TARDIS design. I cant decide what I don’t like about it, it just doesn’t seem right.

I did read yesterday day that there are 2 (at least I think it was 2) Stargate movies to come, but I am not going to hold my breath on that. I broke down and watched an episode of SGU, still am not impressed with it.

Well I guess that is all the rambely I can come up with at the moment.

We definitely need to talk! I'm facing knee replacement sometime this year and I'm terrified of doing it. I'd really like your viewpoint on all of it.

Hard drives: I just had my 2nd Western Digital external HD go out on me. Seagates are on sale this week at Staples and I'm heading that way.

I understand about missing "your" Doctor. My Doctor was and will always be Five. I still miss him, but Eight's TARDIS is my favorite. My biggest problem with Nine/Ten's TARDIS was that we never saw any more of it than the console room, so I never really felt emotionally invested in it. I was really surprised at how easily I took to Eleven and his TARDIS. I wasn't expecting that.

I meant to get to this yesterday but time got away from me.

Oh I was scared to death when they did the first knee, but it really was one of the best things I have ever done.

I'm going to send you an email, from typing this up I keep going on and on and on.
