My niece took at turn for the worse yesterday, she became non responsive and was rushed to emergency surgery. They removed a blood clot from her head, (I don’t know exactly where) and put in a drain tube. (Which at 3 ½ she keeps trying to pull out). My sister said that when she was allowed to see her after the surgery she was sitting up on the bed and yelled ‘Momma’ when she saw her. Sputnik (my nickname for my niece) is very cute when she talks, she ends up taking out unnecessary words, so instead of saying something like ‘does you back hurt’ she will say ‘back hurt?’ (she did this with Kenny when he hurt his back)
so anyway she kept asking her mom ‘hair gone?” My sister said that the doctor told them that he doesn’t like to shave kids so the he made the incision by her hair line and my sis had to keep telling her that ‘no her hair was still there’ Then I guess the nurse said that she wouldn’t be going home anytime soon and Sputnik kept saying ‘home soon’ she is so cute.
Anyway it has been a rollercoaster the last 48 hours, but I am thankful the doctor kept her, who knows what would have happen if they had sent her home with as far out as they live in the country.
I wanted to get this posted last night but was just too upset to do anything except cry. I also wanted to send a huge thanks and hugs to Demelza.
Today I am traveling down to my mom’s, my sister and brother in law live with her she is a leg amputee and needs help with some things and my other sister can’t take off work that long to help out.
