Tales of upcoming move and birthday cake
Feb. 3rd, 2014 09:47 pmHey everyone~
You know what, I would love to update my journal more than once every six months.
I suppose live does move fast, sometimes too fast for me. Guess I'll start with my November…
I went to help take care of my mom for a couple of weeks while she recovered from an illness, (She's doing fine now)
Then while there Kenny received some news that was not good. It's nothing life threatening or even medically related (just came to me how that sounded) It's something that I really don’t want to get into at the moment, because of all the four letter words that seem to fly and tears.
In December, because of the not so good news we have decided to relocate so now my house is in a mess as we are packing for a two hundred mile trip to our new residence. So after of just over eleven years of living here, a small town that I love we are leaving. I'm not really happy about it, but there is not a lot we can do but suck it up and move on.
I did get something for Christmas that I've wanted for about ten years. I thought I'd let the picture speak the thousand words for me.

Did I mention that we are moving in with my mom for a while? So in January we went to rearrange some things in her house to accommodate us. We are going to be working on remodeling a older house on the property, (expect a lot of pic spams in the future)
Little fact about our family, my sister and her youngest daughter share the same birthday which was on a day we were there so I made a cake for my sister in the shape of a butterfly and her two oldest decorated it for her, (didn’t think it was such a good idea to have her 7 month old son help, maybe next year) and I made a doll cake for Mackenzie she turned 6.

My sister's butterfly cake that the girls decorated for her.

Mackenzie's Dora doll cake that she wouldn't let us cut until the next day. I am proud to say that this one had the camera's clicking and Kenny in awe, we've been together over eleven years and he didn't know I knew how to decorate cakes.
So now we are back home, trying to decided what we will keep and what we can get rid of and see and when would be the best time to rent a U-Haul and move. With a snow storm that is suppose to dump up to 12 inches on us coming tomorrow this weekend is out. We are hoping for next, or at least I am only because I want this to be fast, like pulling off a band aid hoping that it won't hurt so much.
I was able to carve out a little time for me, it had come to my attention that I had been missing my OTP Severus/Hermione. So I got a little of them in over the weekend, and I did get a story that had been hiding on my hard drive finished, now to find a beta... anyone interested?
