*Looks around for that stick of computer dynmite*
So I was working on a wallpaper tutorial over at big_tutorials had worked on this thing for well over an hour, first in
PSP which I downloaded the free trial last night then in GIMP. Because I know more of the functions in GIMP so the
first one I did in PSP turned out really crappy. The second one I was working on was turning out really well and I only
had one, yes one more thing to do and it would have been finished. But no, the way my luck is running it couldn't just
keep letting me working on it. It frelled up and closed, now I have to start over. There are times I really hate computers.
So I am done with my rant, I'll let you all get back to what you were doing.

Anyway, um, I don't know how adverse you are to playing in *cough*full*cough* versions of programs, but if you tried PSP you most likely had the new corel one, right? That's a piece of shit if ever. Sorry, but it is. I've been using Jasc's PSP since version 3 (and that's a few years, I can tell ya!!)....but I know where you can find version 9 completely full.

It doesn't have Animation Shop with it if you're wanting to do animations, but I can upload my copy of that if you wanted.
It can be a pain in the ass at times, especially when you're so used to another program (I have difficulties learning anything in Photoshop for this same reason), but PSP9 is so much easier, and easy on the eyes, than the latter versions. I've got the new version on here to try out, but, I like PSP9 better. I would go back to version 7, were it not for the features I like in 9 lol.
Um, so yeah, I wanted to share that link with you in case you wanted it. Enough of my ramblings (what happens when you don't get much sleep lol).

Well on the versions thing, I had gimp downloaded and had used it for a while then I had to reinstall my computer and ended up with a new verison of gimp which I hated had to learn all that stuff over because they had moved some of it around. But PSP I have only used about half a day but I did like some of the results I got with it. Outside of the wallpaper I was trying out today, I made a couple of icons that turned out better in it than it did in gimp.
Have not wanted to make animations yet, I am sure that will change one day. But at this time it matters not to me if it is included or not.
Thanks for the link, downloading now.
I learned gimp and had to do that mostly on my own, this should be eaiser.
Well now I have rambled on enough.

I have been thinking of upgrading mine, as I really don't want to just out and out by a new one lol Costs a bit. But I'm not sure what it is that's slowing it down, you know? Could it be the CPU/Motherboard, maybe, do you think? Or maybe the HD is too big (for it being an older motherboard)? I'm getting a small HD to install as the primary, making my bigger one secondary, as I do recall my computer going slower once I had to replace my harddrive.
Oh I hate when they do that with programs. But then I am also loathed to change, especially if something is working just fine as it was before lol I usually back up my programs to the versions I like, or if I lost it I hunt down the version I used to have (such as on rapidshare). Otherwise I just go crazy because of the differences lol
I tried Gimp out, erm...I think two years back. I got so confused. Even more confused than I get in Photoshop, and that really confuses me most times. But it's great you're getting some good results with PSP -- even though I can do some nice things in Photoshop, the effects I really like in PSP, I can rarely get those results with Photoshop.
Okay, well whenever you want, sing out, because I've kept it for reinstalling once I get this new HD installed.
Oh yeah. Well if you need any help with anything, I'm happy to help out, or at least try to.
Lol, I have too :)

The link is to a small program that tells you all the information about your CPU/Motherboard, like who made it and the bios on it and how much ram. If you get a chance grab it, it's free by the way. some of the information would be helpful with trying to find out what's wrong or how it can be fixed. And it could very well be your HD is too much for the CPU/MB
And the only reason they come out with newer verisions is they are greedy, I mean how much can they do to a program that has only been out a year? I have a copy of VLC on my back up HD, I downloaded the new one the other day couldnt figure out how to screen cap on it and took it back off and went back to the older one but it has problems also, cant seem to cap an entire episode so I am on the look out for a program that will cap automaticly.
Same here with the help.
